This French Late 18th-Century Double Door Bookcase is made out of mahogany wood newly stained in an ebonized color with gilt molding accents and polished lacquered finish. This Elegant Empire Style Display features two doors with clear glass on the top, wood panels on the bottom, and two hand-carved columns on the sides with polished bronze accents. The interior of this bookcase is still stained in its original dark mahogany color, is divide by four removable wood selves (later added), and offers plenty of storage space. The piece has its original iron lock & key in working condition and rests on two rounded feet with gilt details. This Circa 1790’s Ebonized Bookcase is elegant, newly restored, and ready to be used & displayed for years to come.
